Close friend, anthropologist, poet, and professional student, Ashley-Devon Williamston, finishes another lap of education and shares with us the poetic memoir they collected and drafted during their MFA pursuit from The Writer’s Foundry at St. Joseph’s University. Family, friends, and fellow poets will gather at The Free Black Women’s Library in Brooklyn to hear the entirety of Williamston’s "Meet Me Where the Water Runs Into Itself Again: A Poetic Memoir in III Albums".
Cincinnati-based poet Elese Daniel will open the evening and delight folks with a reading of her prose piece "within," currently on exhibition at The Carnegie Covington, in the Suspended Between Forms exhibition, curated by Zito Madu. (Open now until August 17)
💫Come thru on Saturday, May 18 from 6-8pm for poems, treats, and vibes. Please donate $5 to the Free Black Women's Library upon entry. Register for remote attendance here.
